Most adults who drink can remember where they were at those milestone times in their lives. More often than not, the fact they were under the legal drinking age was a minor inconvenience. It was more inconvenient to not be with the cool crowd or something similar. More and more, though, studies are confirming the logic behind keeping the legal drinking age at 21. Science is telling us that alcohol use in youth has serious ramifications with both mental development and long-term effects on health.
